Slacklining across the face of the moon: stunning footage from Spain

Philippe Soubies from the Slackline Pays Basque slacklining group is seen crossing the sky in front of a glorious full moon in November 2020.

The stunning night-time footage was shot in Navarre in the Basque region of Spain by young outdoor photographer Thomas Meurot.

After a day of research, photographer Meurot and the Slackline Pays Basque group decided the project was possible and so they went for it.

It took a long time for the slacklining group to install the highline between some cliffs -- particularly hard because it was the first time they had done it there.

When the sun fell, photographer Meurot and his girlfriend got in place for the shot of the slackliner walking through the sky in front of the full moon.

Meurot said: "It was unbelievable, exciting, beautiful. All this happened thanks to the team we had, that could make it possible."
